When someone’s life or health is at risk, not only does every second count, but the personnel involved in providing our specialized service must be the very best. Our highly qualified and bilingual medical team always includes a doctor and a paramedic, together certified in at least ACLS, ATLS, PALS, ABLS and PHTLS.*
All of our staff have training in flight physiology and participate in a program of continuous medical education. Before the medical team is determined, our Medical Director will be put in touch with the hospital the patient is in and will obtain his complete medical report and medical history. Based on the patient’s current medical condition and the patient’s historical medical information, our Medical Director (in coordination with the sending and receiving physicians) will determine who the right physician for the flight will be and if an additional medical specialist will join the standard flight team.
Our on-call medical staff includes:
- General Practitioners
- E.R. Physicians
- Neurosurgeons
- Anesthesiologists
- ICU Physicians
- Pediatricians
- Neonatal Specialists
- Gynecologist-Obstetricians
- Pediatric Surgeons
- Cardiologists
- Orthopedic Surgeons
- Trauma Surgeons
- Registered Nurses & Paramedics
AirLink Ambulance provides the level of treatment required by the patient's condition.
We are the primary provider for the Michou y Mau Foundation for Burnt Children in Mexico and a frequent provider for several of the Shriners Burn Hospitals, where our team receives continuous ABLS training.
We are specialized in the transport of neonatal babies and mothers-to-be. In flights that we transport a neonatal baby, our medical team consists of a neonatal intensive care specialist and an experienced paramedic. If our patient is a pregnant woman in danger of giving premature birth, our medical team consists of an ob-gyn, a neonatal intensive care specialist and an experienced paramedic.
