The Toluca Airport is approximately 40 miles west of Mexico City. It is the only airport used for private air ambulance (and executive) operations going into Mexico City. We operate from Toluca, but have no problem flying into and out of Mexico City’s international airport when the patient’s origin or destination is significantly closer to this airport and the patient’s condition requires it. The Toluca airport is closer than the Mexico City airport to the Santa Fe Medical Complex of several important hospitals including: the ABC Hospital, Los Angeles Hospital and Star Medica Santa Fe Hospital, among others. Our base in Toluca-Mexico City provides additional advantages to our customers:
- Geographic Location: Close to tourist locations in the south of Mexico and Central America. This allows us to offer response times to a patient’s bedside of 3 hours or less to places like Acapulco, Zihuatanejo, San Miguel de Allende, Queretaro, Cuernavaca, Oaxaca, Huatulco, Puerto Escondido, Puebla and Chiapas (to name a few). We can also be at a patient’s bedside in less than 5 hours in most Central American countries.
- Several 1st rate hospital facilities: When our foreign patients require urgent treatment and cannot be repatriated immediately to their home country, Mexico City is a place where patient’s can be brought for 1st level care and sometimes are fully healed before flying home on a commercial flight.
