We´re happy to introduce you to Cees Voorn!

Cees will be working closely with Anne and Inge in the commercial department. He has a lot of experience in client relationships and has a background in the distribution industry. He is eager to learn about Travel Health and he is looking forward to working with our clients.

As an introduction and so you can get to know Cees a little bit, we asked him a few questions.

Cees, how do you pronounce your name?

I will listen to a variety of pronunciations, but the correct one sounds like “Case”.

What is your background?

I was born and raised in Emmen, a city in the north east part of the Netherlands. I studied International Business at the Stenden University and in 2008 I decided to participate in a student exchange program at the University of Guadalajara. I fell in love with the culture, the amazing people, and delicious food. In 2010, I returned to Mexico and decided to stay. I currently reside in Guadalajara and am the proud father of a daughter of 6.

What inspired you to work for Airlink Ambulance?

After 10 years of working in the Electronic Components and Distribution industry at a Fortune 500 company, I wanted to expand my horizon to an industry in which I could positively impact other people’s lives. Airlink came exactly at the right time. Not only is it a different industry, but also, working in a service-oriented organization like AirLink, provides a more fulfilling work environment. The AirLink team cares very much about every single patient, their outcome, and making sure the client is completely satisfied with our service. That inspires me and perfectly fits my personality.

What are the first impressions you have from working at AirLink?

Even though I just started my role, it is very clear to me that the team really puts the patients, clients and their people first. With so many moving parts during a mission, the team’s dedication and clear communication really stands out for me.

What are your plans in the first 3 months at Airlink?

I am really looking forward to work with and get to know our clients. I will be working closely with Anne, Inge and other AirLink colleagues to get up to speed on all the requirements, regulations and other aspects in this complex field. I am excited to join an air ambulance flight soon, to really get to know the service and especially the human aspect of it, which at the end, is the most important. I am also looking forward to share the experience I have gathered over the last decade with the AirLink team.
