AirLink Ambulance has a new CEO
Jaime Diaz has been appointed as the new CEO of USMX AirLink. Owner and founder Jerry Faubert will continue to remain actively involved behind the scenes.
We sat down with Jaime (in the picture, holding the IAG 2025 CSR Award) and asked him a couple of questions to introduce himself.
What is your background?
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in International Business and an MBA from Columbia Business School in
Chicago. I began my career in supply and procurement with a company
specializing in corrugated cardboard, where I spent three years gaining a
strong foundation in sourcing and materials management. I later transitioned
into the automotive industry, expanding my expertise in supply chain and
procurement operations. Over the past 16 years, I have built extensive
experience in the aviation sector, working with commercial airlines, airport
services, and airline supply chain management. My aviation background includes
managing aircraft maintenance shops and aviation schools, as well as overseeing
FBO services, air taxi operations, and ground support services.
What inspired you to work for AirLink Ambulance?
I have greatly enjoyed my career in the aviation sector. Joining AirLink and the air ambulance
industry offered an exciting opportunity to explore a new and meaningful area
within aviation. I was eager to learn about this specialized field and am truly
grateful for the experience. Working at AirLink is deeply rewarding, as our
work directly contributes to saving lives.
As a director, I lead with empathy, honesty, common sense, teamwork, and loyalty—values that I
believe are essential to both effective leadership and exceptional service. My
goal is to work closely with our team to maintain our leadership in the
industry while continually exceeding our clients’ expectations.
What is the key ingredient that makes AirLink today?
The key ingredient to our company’s success is our strong sense of family. While it may sound cliché,
it truly defines who we are. As a family-founded organization, that spirit of
unity and mutual support continues to guide how we work and interact every day.
Our low turnover rate and the longevity of our team members speak volumes about
the culture we’ve built—one grounded in trust, respect, and collaboration.
It’s a privilege to be
part of such a close-knit and welcoming team, and I’m excited to contribute to
our shared success while continuing to foster the values that make this company
so special.
What is your vision of AirLink for the upcoming years?
Our vision is to position the company as the leading Air Ambulance
provider in Latin America, recognized for delivering the highest standards of
safety, quality, and service. We aim not only to meet but to consistently
exceed our clients’ expectations through operational excellence, innovation,
and a steadfast commitment to patient care.
What is your motto in life?
Teamwork, honesty, and loyalty — these are
the values I live by. I believe that by embracing them, we can achieve our
goals both professionally and personally.
What do you do in your spare time?
In my spare time, I focus on personal and
professional development while making it a priority to spend quality time with
my family. I also enjoy staying active through sports such as soccer, tennis,
and running.
